Urban Animals.    It is like ER, but for Animals, if set in Austin.  Dramatic highs and lows.  Life and Death moments. Touching acts of kindness. The zany antics of downtown denizens of the weirdest little city in Texas.  For all their differences, Dr. Homburg and Dr. Biehle, share one thing in common for sure, their deep and abiding commitment to animals and their wellbeing.  They also share a wicked sense of humor.  In their new venture, The Austin Urban Vet Center, they will face the many challenges that are to be expected as business owners, veterinarians, and business partners.  A pet care mega center, their new venture features a high tech veterinary clinic, pet resort, dog boutique, dog bakery and a wash and groom center.  Interactions between these various vendors and the doctors will be featured as well as the day to day operation of the veterinarian hospital with staff members, patients, and pet owners.  Show producers will invite local Austin personalities, both celebrities and local cultural icons to bring in their pets for examination by the doctors. (Potential appearances by Gov. Rick Perry, Willie Nelson, Sandra Bullock, Kinky Friedman, Richard Garriot, UT football coach Mac Brown, Grammy winner Sara McLaughlin, Lance Armstrong, Robert Rodriguez, and Quentin Tarantino.)  Urban Animals will also feature the doctors’ extracurricular activities as B story lines.  Examples of these story lines include, Dr. Greg at the ranch, Dr. Erin hosting PR and or SPCA event, Dr. Greg’s weekly appearance on local FOX affiliate, Dr. Erin attending her husband’s art show, Dr. Greg’s outdoor adventures, and Dr. Erin’s Bunco night.
